Hosokawa Powder Technology Foundation

KONA is a refeed scientific journal that publishes articles on powder and particle sciences and technology.KONA has been published annually since 1983 in Japan.KONA is distributed to researchars,members of the scientific community,universities and reserch libraries thoughout the world.

The foundation is engaged in the following activities to foster fundamental research on powder engineering and support international exchange among powder engineering researchers in the world to contribute to the advancement of related research.

Activities of Grant and Award

Research Grant		Grant for research on powders and particles.

KONA Award		Award for outstanding achievement on particle science and powder technology.

Event Grant		Grant for organizing international conference and symposium on particle science and powder technology

Grant for promising researchers		Grant for promising graduate students studying particle science and powder technology

Encouragement Award		Award to encourage particle science and powder technology

Other activitie

Organizing symposium		Organizing symposium of particle science and powder technology. Once every other year in Tokyo and Osaka alternately. Participant number of approx. 200 persons (some invited, open to the public).

Publication of KONA powder and particle journal		Publish an international scholarly journal annually in English covering particle science and powder technology (approx. 2,000 copies, 250 pages). Distributed free of charge to researchers, libraries and other parties throughout the world.

*The above activities are examined and approved annually by the Board of Directors and Evaluation Committee.
